The Third Cross - The Cross of self Denial

Jesus said in Luke 9:23
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
This Cross that Jesus talks about is the cross of self denial.
Jesus said to Peter, James and John to come follow Him. They had to lay down their fishing nets, their family business and now follow Jesus. They had to make a choice. This doesn't mean that every believer must give up their work and business. Jesus can use you in any situation but He requires our loyalty and commitment to Him and to His Will. As a true believer our lives belong to Him. Jesus is our Lord and Saviour and we must live the rest of our lives now for the Will of God. This may cost you something, you may have to devote your time and talents for the Kingdom of God. You may have to deny yourself sleep and get up and pray. You may have to deny yourself pleasures and give this time to serving God. It will be worth it. That's for sure. Real life is found when you discover your purpose from God. Its real fulfillment
